If your kids need a break from screens, put THIS Maryland farm day on your list!
Sometimes the best family memories aren’t made at an amusement park. They’re made outside, surrounded by animals, fresh air, and a little room to just… PLAY.
My kids, our friends , and I had the BEST time at Black Barn Alpacas | Maryland’s Premier Alpaca Farm in Finksburg, and the alpacas completely stole the show! We got to see pregnant alpacas, baby alpacas, horses, and so many friendly faces. My kids were obsessed… and honestly, so was I!
But here’s what I loved most: there’s more to do than just see the alpacas. The kids had basketball, an outdoor slide/play area, and there was space to enjoy a picnic and soak up the peaceful countryside. It felt like the kind of outing where everyone could actually put their phones down and enjoy being together.
And before you leave, make sure you check out The Shoppe! You can grab cute alpaca-themed goodies and merch, including little alpaca gifts, keychains, shirts, stuffed animals, and other fun keepsakes.
