'"Rain" is about the intermingled cycle of reflection and release, which takes place as we work through the inevitable emotions that follow major change. It’s a metaphor for both the tears we shed and the washing away of negative energy that arises as we move through each cycle of reflection and release. There’s time spent inside your head working out what this means and how to move forward, but also moments of clarity where you see the purpose in what you’re going through and just how far you’ve come. The song follows this pattern of tumultuous storms and breaks in the clouds. Rich chords and a playful vocal sing down the rain in all its glory. As it washes over us, we feel cleansed and renewed, and we emerge like the trees after a savage storm, soaked through and weather-beaten, but still standing -- glistening and strong as ever.'
