The time has come to share some bittersweet news.

Earlier this year, I made the decision to stop accepting new projects through The Lev Co so I could focus on two big things:

📘the release of my upcoming book on the Core 7
💼 and expanding my work through

Over the past few years(almost 6):
🌍 We’ve worked with 25 incredible clients across multiple continents
🎬 Delivered 120+ projects, producing over 6,000 assets

So, what’s next?
Maria Meade—alongside Chloe Troub and Clay Yarborough—has launched a new studio built on the same branding, strategy, and design expertise that made our work stand out and The Lev Co special. If you’re in need of thoughtful, high-impact design support, they’d love to connect. You can reach out at [email protected], visit their website, or give them a follow on LinkedIn.

I’m (Luke) still deep in the specialty coffee orbit—just focusing on helping roastery owners sharpen their business skills through Pomelo and continuing to host the Good Folks, Doing Good Work podcast.

Curious about collaborating with Pomelo, working with Maria, or chatting podcast things? Let’s catch up.

As always—
Be well,
Luke

The year end, the change of the season, the shorter days… it all leaves us feeling not sad, but cozy. And grateful. From colors that ignite warmth to patterns that signify tranquility in a season that asks us to slow down and just be – this month's moodboard is all about shift.

In this time of stillness, we’re reflecting on all of the good people we met this year, clients that trusted us to create something for their business, and the hard work that our team did over the past 12 months. We’re happy to be here, and are looking forward to another great year of growth, learning, and togetherness.

pov: you’re on a first date at a cafe, it’s kinda going well, and it’s snowing outside, and there’s a christmas tree in the corner with colorful lights, and it smells like coffee, and these songs are playing in the background.

During the winter months, do you crave darker liquors or maybe a warm chai? It makes sense. Some people associate the feelings of warmth with certain drinks. Perhaps it also has to do with the notes of spices that we perceive having a “warming” effect.

We also switch an aperol spritz for an espresso martini in the winter time, but no, we’ll never leave hot coffee behind for an iced one in the summer. Don’t get it twisted.

Does caffeine affect you even if you’re ordering an espresso martini past 3PM? Are you simple and take your bourbon neat? So tell us, which Holiday drink are you?

A recent mini-brand project has us absolutely gushing over vintage tech aesthetics – high contrast color palettes, chunky type, CRT and bitmap textures, and repetitive shapes create movement and depth.

We can’t wait to share the final result 👁️👄👁️

Now, to tackle that VHS collection just to feel something……..

Join us this Friday as we welcome the CEO & Co-Founder of , Kenzel Fallen, as the next guest on the Good Folks, Doing Good Work interview series.

Kenzel’s career has been focused on directing programs and teams across enterprise, operations and credit risk functions, spanning industries from banking to energy. In addition to her super powers in risk and risk management, she and her husband started the first and only solar-powered roastery in Houston, Texas. The name Three Keys, inspired by the three valves on a trumpet, is an ode to the influential jazz musicians that inspire Kenzel and her husband, Tio, who grew up playing the trumpet through college. They believe coffee is a multi-sensory experience and pair each coffee they release with a playlist directly correlated to the coffee. Due to their intentionality to connect music, coffee and design thoughtfully, they have won multiple awards for their packaging and their coffee.

While Kenzel’s professional experience outside of coffee may seem quite distant from the specialty coffee industry, I wholeheartedly believe our industry needs analytical thinkers equipped with business acumen. It was Kenzel’s unique background that initially sparked a conversation over LinkedIn between her and I (Luke). After a few messages back and forth about businesses, work backgrounds and, of course, design, I knew I needed to invite Kenzel to be a guest.

Would you join us in welcoming Kenzel Fallen of Three Keys Coffee as the next Good Folks guest this Friday at 12 noon CST for our IG Live interview?
