I had the pleasure of experiencing Catering Out The Box after winning their service as an auction item at the Chicago Scholars Gala last fall and let me just say… this was one of the best auction wins I’ve actually used.
From the start, working with the owners was seamless. We collaborated to create a progressive menu that felt completely tailored to our evening. What I appreciated most was the flexibility. There were plenty of options to choose from, and they were open to curating beyond the standard menu to bring our vision to life.
The ex*****on was next level. Their team arrived fully prepared with everything needed. Setup, prep work, bar service, cocktails, table presentation, and serving utensils… all handled. Truly a turnkey experience. All we had to provide was the alcohol and kitchen space.
A special shoutout to Sergio, our server, and Chef Berta. The food was fresh, light, and the ingredients were perfectly balanced. And I have to say… having our own branzino each was such a standout detail.
Anthony, the owner, personally checked in at both the beginning and end of the evening to ensure everything from setup to breakdown was flawless. The kitchen was left spotless, which says a lot about their professionalism and attention to detail.
Highly recommend. We will absolutely be using them again. What a beautiful way to kick off our 3-year anniversary 🥂
