NOW IN EFFECT: In response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Chicago has joined the State of Illinois in issuing a Stay at Home order effective Saturday, March 21st at 5pm CT. Under the order, residents are to remain at home, except for essential needs like going to the grocery store, a doctor, to care for someone or work at an essential job.

- Stores that sell groceries, medicine, and pet supplies
- Gas Stations
- Restaurants (takeout & delivery)
- Hospitals & pharmacies
- Transportation (CTA, taxis, rideshare, etc.)
- Laundromats
- Financial institutions (banks, tax prep, etc.)
- Hardware stores
- Mail and goods delivery (FedEx, Amazon, etc.)
- Businesses that provide supplies for remote work
- Home-based care and services
- Daycare centers
- Critical labor functions (plumbers, cleaning, etc.)
- Hotels and motels
- Charitable and social service organizations
- Media (newspapers and radio stations)
- Bike and automobile shops
- Utilities and infrastructure.
