dropped his EP yesterday.
We had the honor of having this EP early, so I've been rocking it for a month. I now invite you all to join me in rocking this.
The ep does a tremendous job of melding 5 distinctively different songs into one ep that fits together in a beautiful way. Strong vocals throughout with several choruses ready to be belted into my (and your!) windshields. Andy can write a song. More specifically he can write 5.
A couple of my favorite parts of the album include:
One last chance- song rocks! Specifically the piano solo on the bridge with this wonderful distortion effect on Andy's voice leading up to a plugging in of a guitar. And engineering chefs kiss
Welcome to America- the hook is S tier. Both music and lyrics here do it for me. A sonic mix of John Mayer, and several 70s and 80s band. I detect a bit of the police in it as well. THE BAND. 🫠
Yellow Pages- my favorite song on the ep and that second chorus with claps and backing vocals... 👨🍳😘
The musicians- strong keys and piano everywhere. The drums compliment everything going on. Several moments throughout had me thinking "heck yeah that's exactly what I would've done"
Production- elite. Auxiliary percussion, backing vocals, and overall sonic feel to the EP. Andy had a vision for this and everyone played their part.
And last but not least the man himself..
The guitars, the vocals, and my personal favorite part of the ep as a whole, the lyrics. A strong offering from minute 0 to the last second.
We are going to get Andy on soon to take a deeper dive into the record but for now head on over and check this one out. There's something in it for everyone.
P.S. always great to see our friends crushing it!
