Davis, on December 1, 1947 to a family of eight girls and four boys, 12 family siblings in all, I grew up on the south side of Chicago, attended both Catholic and public schools. I also attended a state university, majoring in Business Education. I've been married 57 years to my high school sweetheart, Lucius Johnson, Sr.. We were blessed with three sons, four granddaughters, and one grandson. Bow
ling was my passion, and I have been actively involved in my church’s Food Pantry , praise dancing, and bible classes. My husband and I are also involved in my co-operative housing unit, volunteering our time for special events, fund raising, and tree planting. My oldest son, Lucius, Jr., was diagnosed with HIV in 1992, and in order to follow his illness I began writing his doctor visits and medicationss on ledger notes. His HIV developed into AIDS, and in the fall of 1999, our son passed away. I started keeping a health journal to document our son's doctor visits and medications. This eventually evolved into a comprehensive Medical and Dental Health Journal, which also includes sections for Family History, Prescriptions, and Notes. In 2008, I joined a group called Chicago First Black Inventors / Entrepreneurs Organization, CFBIEO which opened up new opportunities for my invention . This health journal was displayed in Chicago’s Dusable Museum during a conference in 2009, along with 20 other Black Inventors. Several investors assisted me in getting my invention to a printed hard copy, and I was able to produce my journal. This allowed me to sell my journal books in a major pharmacy, actually 15 stores, during the years 2009 and 2010. In 2023 I joined an online group called PBS, Private Bankers Society, and with their help and my team of family members, my goal is to produce an eBook and Physical Copy and continue spreading the word on the importance and benefits of recording one’s medical history. I intend to actively promote my invention through social media outlets and my website.
