Still feeling full after being part of the fundraiser for Black Maternal Health Week.
Being in community with people who are deeply committed to supporting Black birthing folks with care, resources, and real solutions was powerful.
is on the frontlines, funding prenatal and postpartum care for Black mothers and birthing people in North Carolina. The kind of work that saves lives and preserves families.
So many dope orgs showed up to pour into the community. One that really stood out was , a group that educates and equips all adolescent parents with the tools needed to become independent and self-sufficient.
We also witnessed a major moment: Senator Murdock & Representative Hawkins on behalf of the Governor of North Carolina issued an official proclamation recognizing Black Maternal Health Week. A reminder that when we advocate, we are heard.
I share my everyday stories because our stories matter because they ensure others don’t feel alone. I will continue sharing my truth, my motherhood, and my heart because the world needs to feel our collective power.
Caring for Black birthing people is not just about survival; it’s about joy. It’s about restoring what has been broken and creating space for Black families to thrive. When we care for Black moms, we lay the foundation for healing entire communities.
Please continue showing up for If their story speaks to you, I encourage you to donate, share, or just sit with the message. It matters.
