Publishing is better when everyone gets a seat at the table, and the holidays are the perfect time to help pull up a chair. 🎄📚

The Equity in Publishing Fund was created to support underrepresented authors, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and Disabled voices by helping them access the PR support they deserve, even when budgets are tight.

What began as a small grant initiative has grown into a truly community-powered effort. Thanks to your generosity and in-kind donations, this fund continues to thrive.

✨ This month, every DIY package purchased goes directly toward the Equity in Publishing Fund, turning a gift to yourself into a gift that helps more incredible stories reach readers.

And no worries if you’re not ready this month, you can book your DIY package up to six months out, making it the perfect end-of-year treat (or a “future you” gift 🎁).

Give back, plan ahead, and help us make publishing a little more inclusive this holiday season.

✨ KP Wrapped 2025 ✨

Another year of big books, bold voices, and a lot of inbox tabs open.

This year, we:
📚 Worked with 56 books
🏆 Celebrated 13 bestsellers
✊ Amplified underrepresented voices
🗞️ Secured 2,900 media placements (hi NYT, People, Paste, and more 👋)
📱 Generated 3,500 influencer posts across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Goodreads, and Amazon
🎤 And showed up everywhere from bookstores and libraries to festivals and conferences

Plus our team grew 💛 because great work starts with great people.

We’re endlessly grateful to our authors, partners, media friends, and the KP team who made 2025 one for the books (literally). Onward to bigger in 2026🚀📖

In 2020, we launched the Equity in Publishing fund, monies that are allocated to support underrepresented voices in publishing. This allows us to provide PR services to authors from historically resilient groups, regardless of their budget.

While the first two years included grant funding and other outside assistance, we are now entirely self-funded through a combination of in-kind donations and the support of community members like you (thank you!)

Now, more than ever, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and Disabled authors need their voices heard, and we are continuing our commitment to ensure their books get into the hands of readers everywhere.

Which is why, for the month of December, all purchases of our DIY packages will be put towards our Equity in Publishing Fund.

📚✨ Every voice deserves to be heard.

That belief inspired the creation of our Equity in Publishing Fund back in 2020, a program designed to support underrepresented storytellers, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and Disabled authors, by offering access to PR services regardless of financial barriers. 🌈✊🏾

What started with grants and outside assistance has grown into a fully self-funded initiative—powered by in-kind donations and the generosity of this incredible community (thank you 💛).

Now through Christmas, 100% of proceeds from our DIY packages will go toward the Equity in Publishing Fund. Let’s continue building a more inclusive publishing landscape, one book, one voice, one story at a time. 💬📖

📚 Happy Pub Day 📚

Sharpen your sleuthing skills and dust off your medieval history notes because Kate Hamilton is BACK in A Grave Deception by Connie Berry, Author.

This time, Kate’s quiet married life in Long Barston lasts approximately… five minutes.

Why?

Because:
⚰️ A perfectly preserved 14th-century body turns up
💎 A priceless pearl raises big questions
🔪 The woman was pregnant and murdered
🧪 And then the lead archaeologist turns up dead with fake pearls in his mouth

🎉 A Grave Deception is OUT NOW!🎉

📚✨ Publishing is better when EVERYONE gets a seat at the table.

That’s why we launched the Equity in Publishing Fund to help underrepresented voices (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Disabled authors) get the PR support they deserve, even when budgets are tight.

What began with grants has grown into a fully community-powered initiative. Thanks to your generosity and in-kind donations, we’re able to keep this fund alive and thriving (seriously, thank you 💛).

We've extended our drive, so every DIY package you purchase now through Christmas goes straight toward the Equity in Publishing Fund, making space for more incredible stories to reach more readers.

Let’s keep pushing for a publishing landscape where every voice can rise. 💬📖
