Hey there, I'm Anita and I wanted to share a little about myself to all my new followers ☺️
Since my early teen years, I've always been drawn to a more natural approach when it came to what goes in & on my body.
I never liked how medicines made me feel or even how they tasted. I knew there had to be other ways to get over a cold or deal with allergies without having to down 5 mL of something.
During my middle school years, Bath & Body Works was what everyone was wearing. Probably even Victoria Secret or Pink, lol. I loveeeeed the way they smelled, but it always left me itchy & irritated. I had to find something else to use and still smell good. So, I used cocoa butter or Shae butter & some essential oils, lol.
Don't even get me started on makeup! Anytime I put makeup on, I would always break out. Not to mention, I felt like I could feel it sitting on my face. Thats the main reason I didn't care to learn how to do it 🙃 lol.
I guess I learned at a young age, to listen to my body when it reacted to something or when I didn't feel good afterwards.
By the time I got to college, I was ready to learn more about the body in my A&P classes. We seem to not give our bodies enough credit for how amazing they are. Your body can heal something as small as a cut or a scratch without you needing to do much. A few days later, the cut is gone & you already forgot about it. Imagine how capable our bodies of healing & taking care of itself when we give it the proper nutrition, hydration, rest, & even what we put on it.
Ironically, I stumbled upon a Medical Receptionist opportunity at a biomedical doctors office. I felt like "ahh, these are my people" I just felt so aligned to the environment, beliefs, & practices. Over 6 years, I have learnt so much & I am beyond grateful for the experience & knowledge that came along with it.
When I found out I was pregnant, I really became aware of what was going on in my body. I knew when I had my little guy, I was going to be just as conscious about what goes in and on to his body. I wouldn't give him something I wouldn't use myself.
Everyday I am learning & making changes to live a more Holistic lifestyle
