Sweater Weather's '1995-1997' is out Friday, December 5 on LP & CD. Our first ever single-artist twelve inch. Featuring some of our earliest alumni, Sweater Weather is a key part of the history and influence to come from our corner of the midwest. These decades old recordings will not be lost to time. In conjunction with the band, we were able to turn their entire recorded output into a proper album and realize their complete discography.

Sweater Weather reunites Kevin J Frank (guitar) and Ryan Rapsys (drums) of Gauge together with Radio Flyer bassist Paul Obrecht. Target guitar player Zac Conway returns alongside KJF once again and sometimes sings too.

Limited edition of 100 LPs on coke bottle clear vinyl with double-sided insert. If repressed, vinyl color will change to keep these unique.

CD digipaks (6 panel) contain the entire discography. Orders for either format get all 19 songs digitally.

Sweater Weather reunites Kevin J Frank (guitar) and Ryan Rapsys (drums) of Gauge along with Paul Obrecht (bass) from Radio Flyer. Former Target guitar player Zac Conway returns alongside KIF once more. Sometimes Zac sings too. Sweater Weather expands upon their emo/post-hardcore roots with complex and moody melodies. With confidence, they finesse multiple styles into music truly their own.

Limited edition of 100 LPs on coke bottle clear vinyl. CD digipaks too. Shipping begins DEC 5. Don't miss out!

Gauge's “Carving Belt’ b/w “Midwest” 7” is arguably the rarest Shakefork release. 100 (+3 test press) given away at their June 30, 1991 show (see previous post). Both songs from their demo recorded three months earlier. Gauge's first time on vinyl courtesy of Raymond Kolenko's generosity.

Covers hand screened by KJF in his garage with help from Gina & Neil. Same image front and back. Drawn lines represent the letters in Gauge. Insert designed by KJF while Ray created the labels. Who still has one?

Gauge played Metro Chicago twice in 1994 along with The Smoking Popes & No Empathy. Cap'n Jazz replaced Oblivion the second time around. Presented in reverse order. Check out those calendars! Both shows organized by Marc Ruvolo. “Review/Rejection” letter from 1993 in last frame. Sure beats a form email nowadays.

Legendary show taper Aadam Jacobs's incredible collection continues to grow at the Internet Archive. In particular, three Bottom Lounge shows from 2010 have been added. The July 17 & 18 return of Cap'n Jazz as well as Gauge's reunion from March 6. Opening sets from Runner, American Heritage, Big Science, and Plague Bringer were also captured from fifteen years ago. Check out these entries and so very much more from his Sonic Archives.

To learn more about Aadam and his vast archive, Leor Galil wrote a great article about him early this year.
