It has become a pervasive practice among South Sudanese to involve Mading Aweil in controversy whenever discussions about Bol Mel reach an impasse. A statement released by the so-called Sixty-four tribes Press today, claiming that Mading Aweil's elders convened a meeting and threatened to rebel unless their son is permitted to assume leadership, is entirely false. Not only is this assertion untrue, but it also contradicts our cultural values, which do not condone conflict over leadership.

Parks are the most important of recreation. They are reserved and protected as public assets. I think the NBGS government needs to begin preparations to reclaim a park that the UN has used to build their compound in.
