A little late, but worth the wait!
It’s MOM! Aka, Carolyn

God, what a smoke show.

Haha just kidding, I’m the one writing this introduction.

In fact I’m the voice behind most of our posts! Jacob does hop on once in a while.

I’m not sure how to describe myself, so I’ll start with a story as well.

While we were in Vermont I was deciding if I wanted to try knitting or crocheting. The woman who gave us some homemade wool yarn asked me, “are you an account or a poet?” Jacob and I both said “POET”. So, I tried crocheting.

That about sums it up. I’m an artsy person. My main passions are singing and theater, but I can be passionate for just about anything.

I’m a cancer to a T. Free spirited, emotional, and very nurturing.

That’s all I can think of 🤷🏼‍♀️

Beach DAYYYYY

Yorktown is SO cool. Yes, we are history nerds. There is just something so haunting about being in the spot where something so great began, and ended.

Also, Thank. God. For. Sisters.
We weren’t suppose to arrive in Yorktown until tomorrow, but Stella got sick, stays fell through, and we just lost all our juice.

Being at my sisters house this week has been everything we needed.

Idk what we would have done if Stella had gotten as sick as she did in the RV.

Next up: The one and only STELLA!

Also known as Stells, Tellers, Stella Bella, and Beans.

Stella is a 2.75 year old ball of s***k. She thinks fart noises are hilarious, and loves to quiet a room by saying “hey hey hey, everyone CALM down!”

She is so curious and analytical. She absolutely has her dad’s brains and confidence. She has her mom’s face without a doubt.

Her favorite show is Bluey, her favorite movie is Frozen “the new one”.

When asked her favorite color she answers “my blue” which is not to be confused with “moms blue”.

Stella is everything we ever wanted in a best friend and adventure buddy.

We love seeing every spot through her eyes.

Any questions for Stella? We can guarantee her answers will be hilarious.

This week we are introducing our family to you! First up, Dazey!

Dazey is a 2000 Lazy Daze. She is 26.5 feet long, and her model would be called a “mid bath”.

She has a Ford Triton V10 engine, and booooyyyyy does she work it! We love reving her up!

We are her 3rd owners, but her first owners were the founders of the Midwest Lazy Daze Group.

Everyday I can’t believe how perfect she is for our family. She is the best home/adventure vehicle!

Time for introductions!

If you don’t know us yet, HELLO! We are the Suckow-Andre family.

Made up of Carolyn(Mom), Jacob(Dad), and Stella(big scary toddler).

Carolyn is originally from an area north of Detroit, MI. Jacob grew up in Chicago, he’s a city boy.

Carolyn and Jacob both went to Grand Valley State University, and while they knew each other there, it wasn’t until one fateful night that Carolyn yelled at Jacob “YOU SHOULD CALL ME TOMORROW” while Jacob was bouncing.

On their second date they talked about life, what they wanted, and really… they knew. After a year Jacob was ready to purpose and Carolyn, to say yes.

BOOM, here comes Stella. Stella still has a knack for being unpredictable that she gained from the very beginning.

And so, we became our happy family. While we may not do big life events in order, or live in a normal house, or work normal jobs, our lives are everything we talked about on that second date.

We hope that you will continue to follow along with us as we figure it how to do life on the road 😌

New fall trend ALERT: Pants with your dress!
When your toddler HAS to wear a dress, but you want to protect her legs(hiking)/keep her warm, you can find some really funky fashion. It’s definitely progress from my last post 💛

PS Y’all have been so patient waiting for Vermont photos! I promise they are coming, and they are beautiful 🤩

This has been a hard week.

I’m sure the transition alone has been rough for Stella, but she is also in the thick of toddlerhood.

Between the middle of the night wake ups, p*e p*e accidents, refusal to wear anything but dresses, and the fits (oh god the fits) We have found ourselves wondering if we are bad parents.

Now, typically we would consider ourselves a pretty kick butt patents. Stella eats all natural, Carolyn is with her all day, and we’re typically very patient. But we can’t help the thoughts of “are we doing something wrong?” “Can we even take her in public?” “Are all toddlers like this?”

But after a long day we get a moment like this and boom, the stars are in our eyes again.

I know someday we will laugh at all this, so maybe you guys can help us. Tell us a story about your kid as a toddler that you can laugh at today. It’ll make us feel a lot better 💛

On our way from New York to Vermont, we had to the opportunity to stop at a very special place for Carolyn. She always knew that her grandpa’s family was from New York, so when we realized the church that her great grandfather was baptized in was on the way, we had to stop. Great grand father? Seems like a distant connection right? Well, Carolyn’s great grandmother (his wife) lived with Carolyn through high school. She lived to be 103 and was very special to her. Not to mention it’s just cool to connect with your family ties like this. Thank you for the memories New York, and for sending Carolyn’s family to Detroit so one day we could get her.
