I’m in the very peak of motherhood, and it feels like life is moving faster than I can breathe. Everything that once mattered so much to me has slowly slipped into the background. Two babies in two years one just 16 months, the other barely 3 months and somewhere in the chaos, I fell behind in my relationship with the Qur’an.

And that loss… I feel it.
It’s changing me in ways I never expected.
I miss the version of myself who was gentle, patient, kind.
I miss the peace that used to settle in my heart when I reflected on Allah’s words.

There was a time when I would sit with the Qur’an in my quiet moments, letting its meanings soften me. Now, in these busy, overwhelming days, I finally understand why I feel so disconnected from myself. Allah says, “Remember Me, and I will remember you.” And somewhere in the rush of motherhood, I almost forgot.

But I want to return.
I want to find myself again.
And I know the path back is through mindful Qur’an reading, through remembering Allah in the small pockets of my day, through letting His words anchor me again.

May Allah make it easy for me.
