why did this happen? Great question! Several factors that play here. Once I initially set the pan, I noticed that it was out of level. I tried to seat that corner using the vibration tool and the rubber mallet that the company suggests you use.. with no luck on either option I had to lift the pan up to clear out some thin set. I attempted to wiggle it up out of the alcove with out luck. Tried the.Grabo- still no luck, then slowly pried it up when the unthinkable happened. When inspecting the break I noticed there was no reinforcement material within the pan and although the pan is listed at ancient in a thick, I only found it to be an inch thick on the outer layer and close to a quarter inch around the drain. Not to mention that it feels like it’s made out of plaster. honestly, I’m really dissatisfied with all the products that this company offers not just the pan. I’m not gonna name dances because I honestly am not gonna give my recommendation but for those curious it is a Texas shower company starting with the letter C.
