Highlights of our night:
- chatting all things Just Like That by Lena Hendrix (releases Sept 29!)
- signature drinks - of course the Novels with Anna was an Aperol Spritz
- home run with fireworks!!
- the cutest (and most delicious) custom popcorn tins from Garrett Popcorn with Chicago Mix
- the entire diamond club suite! The perfect private space to enjoy the game and chat
- convincing Lena to write a baseball romance next
- meeting more Chicago readers
- ending the night with an embossed stamp and book signing

baseball & books, what could be better?

On the Same Page Book Club took over a Diamond Club Suite at the Chicago White Sox this weekend and it was the perfect setting to celebrate the release of Just Like That with Lena Hendrix !!

We enjoyed all the classic ballpark snacks and some themed drinks for the book (the Novels with Anna was an Aperol Spritz, of course) and chatted all things romance books!

Big thank you to all my book friends who came out to celebrate, to the White Sox team who hosted us and made the sweetest goodie bags for everyone, to for sending early deluxe editions for the book club and to Lena for spending the day with us!

We just might make it an annual event, which book should we discuss at a White Sox game next?!

WE’RE GOING TO ENGLAND!! Our next book retreat is live for bookings and we’ll be headed to London, Bath and Cotswolds! So excited to explore this dreamy place with you.

📍Where? London, Bath & Cotswolds
📚What’s Included? All your accommodations, excursions, 5 breakfasts, 2 dinners and high tea with lunch, the transfers between cities and a curated bookish goodie bag! Plus we’ll have a local guide with us along the way. :)
✈️ what are we doing?
…in London we’re getting tours of Westminster Abbey, Theatreland, Regency London, Covent Garden, a trip to Windsor Castle, and shopping Bookseller’s Row
…in Bath we’re doing a walking tour, visiting the Jane Austen Center and some free time to explore
…in Cotswolds we’re having high tea for lunch and a tour visiting many villages

It releases TODAY but I already need book 2!!

Crown of Crimson & Crows by Tessa Hale is out now and GIRL WE NEED MORE!! I did an immersive read with the ebook and audio book (which is full cast!) and it was SO good. Would highly recommend experiencing it that way! The queen of fated mates is back and I’m obsessed.

Read this when you’re in the mood for…

- yearning (even though some of them try to hide it we see right through you, sir)

One of my favorite parts of the Italy book retreat was doing these book recommendation journals! We passed them around and filled out book recs for each other to take home ❤️

Used foils from Fable & Bind to make them extra gorgeous!!

And if you’re wanting a book retreat then you should come with me to ENGLAND!! Our next book retreat is England 18-23, 2027 and I can’t wait to explore all the castles, cozy villages, bookstores and drink all the high tea. Link is in my bio or I can message it to you!

for the book creators who want to film book recommendation videos!

Sometimes this is easier to share a bunch of your trope or genre recommendations without having to do a full talking/face to camera video!

1. Decide what genre, trope or theme you’ll do for the video and grab all the books
2. Find a neutral background (I usually use a blanket)
3. Stack the books diagonally, switching directions for each book, so it’s easy to grab them quickly
4. Choose your music - it’s easier to film if you have music already!
5. Pull the books and (carefully) toss them to the side and out of camera frame

Sometimes it takes a couple tries to get it right!!

THIRTY ONE!!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!! Spent the day watching the Off Campus series for the first time (it’s my new personality), eating far too many desserts (thank you Dida art & Cassie !!) and beginning the process of cataloguing all my books (yes, I’m type A).

Which also means…the new book set up is coming soon! So excited to move all my books into their new space and show you what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. Patrick is the real MVP
