Here’s a fun fact about BMW: the company actually started as a manufacturer of aircraft engines! Back in 1916, during World War I, BMW was known as Bayerische Flugzeugwerke (Bavarian Aircraft Works). They only shifted to making automobiles in 1928 and motorcycles a little earlier in 1923. So, their transition from flying engines to high-performance cars is pretty fascinating!
