🎄 Real talk: Getting that menu planner made a few of you feel better about Thanksgiving (the messages I'm getting are hilarious - yes, we've ALL forgotten to defrost the turkey at least once).

But here's the thing - menu planning is just the appetizer. What about the decorations multiplying in storage? The timeline that mocks your schedule? The traditions you're trying to juggle while creating new ones?

🤶 Tip: First step of a simpler, low-stress start to the holidays…start with ONE.

One wall.
One box.
One room.

Our front room isn’t the one we live in, so it’s a great, easy first place to tackle.

Starting before Thanksgiving, but it’s off the main living/kitchen area so my fall decorations still get a few days of enjoyment. There’s not much that happens in here, and by starting with the least visible, if it were to take longer to finish - cuz, you know, life - open boxes or scattered decor won’t interfere with daily routines.

About to get the “boring” tree set up for an easy win. 😊

OK, FIRST OFF. . . 👉🏼I've used spray foam for projects before, and that person HAS SKILLS. My experience was more like the initial bench test of the proton packs in Ghostbusters... 👻🤣

Now, that said: I applaud the creativity of this real-life gingerbread house idea! I've done some big "theme" decorations for Halloween, but I largely stay "classic" for Christmas. (Part of a treaty with my Christmas-loving, white-lights-purist husband, lol. 😁)

Hey friends! A moment of real talk:

Losing my 14-year-old page to hackers hit hard. 3,500+ followers, years of content, countless connections - gone in an instant. When your digital home vanishes like that, starting over feels pretty daunting.

I'll admit, I've been quiet here because social media started feeling small compared to everything else brewing in my world. (Like leaving my six-figure corporate job. Yes, really. My family has opinions about this decision. 😅)

But here's what keeps me going: I'm building something that makes my wallet and ego nervous but my creative soul sing. Can't share all the details yet, but I promise - if you're a creative spirit looking for more magic and less overwhelm, you'll want to stick around.
