WNN – Women’s Network News — This weekend, WNN had the honor of meeting an extraordinary woman celebrating an extraordinary milestone: Nancy Denis, who turned 100 years old.
Born on February 2, 1926, in Bristol, Rhode Island, Nancy is a proud American of Sicilian heritage whose life spans a century of history, resilience, and family devotion.
Nancy was married to Robert Denis, a World War II Army veteran who received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained during the Battle of Anzio in Italy. Together, they built a family legacy that now includes four children, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Grace, Glamour, and Gratitude
What immediately stands out about Nancy is her presence. She is impeccably put together — stylish, polished, and confident. Before taking a photo, she paused to refresh her lipstick. At 100, presentation still matters.
Equally striking is her vitality. Nancy moves independently and radiates energy. According to her daughter, she stays active and engaged — heading out for Bingo twice a week and enjoying a monthly trip to the casino. Her philosophy is simple: “You have to keep moving.” And she does.
Words of Wisdom for Young Women
When asked what advice she would offer younger women, Nancy didn’t hesitate.
Her message:
“Enjoy your life. Be thankful. Work hard.”
And what’s the secret to reaching 100?
With a sparkle in her eye, Nancy shared her final piece of wisdom:
“Never forget dessert.”
At Women’s Network News, we celebrate women like Nancy Denis — women whose lives reflect resilience, style, faith, family, and joy. One hundred years strong, and still reminding us all to savor life’s sweetness. Say Happy Birthday to Nancy.
