THE HISTORY OF THE AUGUST SUMMER BASH & HOW IT BEGAN. The August Summer Bash was started in 2012 as birthday party being thrown for a group of people whose birthdays fell in august. An event page was created and the invites slowly spread out inviting the public to come celebrate for their birthdays. We reached out to KEGGER KING & THE FOUNDER THE D.A.L BASH DENNIS LANDIS for mentorship & guidanc
e on throwing a 25 keg birthday bash. We then reached out to local DJs, Artists & Performers to see if they were willing to help put on a show and make this all possible. We ended up having an amazing turn out and drew in over 450+ people. We then started getting emails & messages asking about another one from both attendees & artists. In the beginning 2013 , after being bombarded by many people about another small outdoor music fest, we started considering it. We acquired a new location to change up the outdoor scenery. This is when we began the official start of "THE AUGUST SUMMER BASH" & started investing & getting commercial keg equipment, built our own stage, brought back some of the same DJs & Performers along with reaching out to a buddy of mine JO of HItz On Deck who has music on air with POWER 92.3, and included him in on making this event all possible. And Along with JO came POWER 92.3 Radio Personality Chi Blizz. After the event was over than pleased with the kind of crowd we drew in which was 750+ in attendance, stated if we chose to go another year He'd come out n host our stage as well as giving us commercials on the air promoting our event. And here we are this year 2014, getting ready for ROUND 3. This year we have invested in: More commercial keg equipment, BIGGER BEER TENT which will allow for MORE & FASTER BEER LINES, more performance & A SECOND STAGE.. For Jello wreslting were adding a 40 x 40 barricaded barrier with 160 seats in the barrier allowing 200 more people standing outside the barrier to see since the crowd will no longer be able to close in on the pool. Along with having POWER 92.3 on board with us for Stage Hosting, & Commercials on the air. This year we will have over 1000+ in attendance!
