I want to share that I have decided to retire at the end of this month from the state's unemployment office.
Although I still have the spirit and strength to continue, it’s time for me to embark on what I love most. My home in Puerto Rico is calling, and I’m ready to answer.
Each of you has touched my life in a unique and meaningful way. Thank you for sharing your happiness and kindness with me—I will cherish those memories for as long as the good Lord allows.
I still can’t believe I lasted 25 years and 5 months when I originally planned to stay only six months! I guess my father above had a greater plan for me.
What I will miss most is the hope that I made a difference in the lives of those I served. There is no greater honor than to serve others, and I hope I’ve made a difference in your lives as well.
With that said, I wish you all health, happiness, and success. If you ever visit my beautiful island, there will always be a place for you in the “Town of the Sun.”

Quiero compartir que he decidido jubilarme al final de este mes de la oficina de desempleo del estado. Aunque todavía tengo el espíritu y la fuerza para continuar, es momento de embarcarme en lo que más amo. Mi hogar en Puerto Rico me está llamando, y estoy listo para responder. Cada uno de ustedes ha tocado mi vida de una manera única y significativa. Gracias por compartir su alegría y amabilidad conmigo; atesoraré esos recuerdos mientras el buen Dios me lo permita. Todavía no puedo creer que haya durado 25 años y 5 meses, ¡cuando originalmente planeaba quedarme solo seis meses! Supongo que mi padre allá arriba tenía un plan más grande para mí. Lo que más extrañaré es la esperanza de haber hecho una diferencia en la vida de aquellos a quienes serví. No hay mayor honor que servir a los demás, y espero haber hecho una diferencia también en sus vidas. Dicho esto, les deseo a todos salud, felicidad y éxito. Si alguna vez visitan mi hermosa isla, siempre habrá un lugar para ustedes en la 'Ciudad del Sol'. Muchas bendiciones, Rubeb Contigo
