Thought I would put this out there in case others are looking for the same sort of functionality. After you've programmed your remote to turn on your TV, the following procedure will allow you to automatically power on your box when the TV is turned on.

*** UPDATE *** this is for the V3+. I'm told other boxes have this as well but may take further steps to find. And, it's possible some boxes don't have this feature.
