STOP blaming every scalp flake on “dry skin.” 👀🖤
That annoying itch…
The flakes that somehow ALWAYS find their way onto your black shirt…
The constant urge to scratch your scalp… 😩
Sometimes, it’s dandruff — and treating it like ordinary dry skin may not solve the problem.
Here’s what each step in this reel is actually doing:
🌿 ALOE VERA
Can help soothe and cool an irritated, itchy-feeling scalp. It may make the scalp feel more comfortable, but aloe alone isn’t a dandruff treatment.
🧴 KETOCONAZOLE SHAMPOO
This is the important one. Ketoconazole is an antifungal ingredient that helps control Malassezia, a yeast associated with dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. It targets one of the underlying contributors rather than simply covering up the flakes.
🚿 THOROUGH RINSING
Helps remove loosened flakes, excess oil and shampoo residue so you're not leaving buildup sitting on the scalp.
🫧 GENTLE CLEANSING
A dandruff-prone scalp doesn't need aggressive scratching or harsh scrubbing. Scratching can further irritate the skin and create a very uncomfortable cycle.
And please remember: dandruff does NOT mean you're dirty.
You can have excellent hygiene and still develop it.
If your scalp is persistently itchy, very red, painful, crusty, oozing, or the flaking isn't improving, don't keep experimenting forever — get it checked. Not every flaky scalp is dandruff.
Save this for your next wash day. 🖤
And send it to the woman who keeps saying, “I think my scalp is just dry…” 👀
