We are so inspired by the outpouring of love for, and within, our community following the news of WIC/food stamps being delayed indefinitely. We are joining the mission spearheaded by powerhouses Moms of the Ridge and Little Bits of Happy Corporation to raise funds so no family in Butte County has to miss out on the holidays.

Yesterday was opening day of ! This is SUCH an awesome spot for little ones. I saw a reel recently about the cons of taking early walkers, or just small-sized kiddos, to trampoline parks. To no one's surprise, the comments were full of people shaming this mom and saying her kid shouldn't go to trampoline parks if she doesn't want them to get trampled on. The CubHouse is the PERFECT spot for kiddos 0-5 to play safely, which enables parents to sit and enjoy a coffee without worrying about their children getting hurt. Our six-month-old is wanting to climb and stand more, so we love the enclosed soft play area for her. They also have strict cleaning protocols to minimize the spread of germs.

My first camera was a Monster High digital when I was 9. I started by photographing my newborn brother and my barbies. I later taught myself photoshoping skills as a pr***en on my Ipod touch. By 19, I finally got my first professional camera.

💛 Slide 4: Favorite thing to photograph → The people and moments I love most. I’m drawn to raw emotions, real connections, and the little details of everyday life that make us feel less alone.

Today we met the fabulous human Little Bits of Happy Corporation, Katie!! have been following Katie for a long time and she is just as incredible as the events she puts on for the community. Every sunny Sunday, you can find Katie at Palermo Park hosting a fun craft or activity for the families of Oroville. One of my favorite things Katie does is pay-what-you-car birthday cakes. Little Bits of Happy ensures that all children are celebrated regardless of funds.

I have been SO EXCITED for the opening of The CubHouse Oroville ! We went to the Roseville Galleria about a year ago and saw a place where kids could play while parents relaxed with a coffee, and I wished so badly that we had something like that here. There are lots of great family-friendy places in Butte County, buti don't always want to sit outside or stand around to watch the kiddos climb. I talked with Robin about how, even though my baby is too young to really play, it is so important to have community, especially in the first year of motherhood. The CubHouse provides kids with a safe place to play, AND a space where moms can get together and have a reason to get dressed and leave the house.

We also met Xander of 3D Kings! Xander has been an entrepreneur for as long as he can remember, whether he was selling things or making cookies. His motivation has always been to be able to buy things he otherwise wouldn't have had money for! His favorite thing to make currently is the light-up ghost pumpkins. We snagged a set of playing card holders, perfect for game night!

I asked Xander what he thought was the hardest part of being a young entrepreneur: Time! He has done all of the Thursday Night Markets this month, and despite printing almost constantly, he didn't have as much product to sell as he would have liked. Our young entrepreneurs aren't just running businesses; they also go to school, have chores, and participate in extracurriculars!
