Looking for a way to help animals across Ohio without adding another furry family member to your household? Check out the Ohio Pet Fund license plates.

When you purchase one of these specialty plates, a portion of the proceeds goes toward grants awarded to shelters and rescue organizations across Ohio to help fund spay and neuter services.

We wanted to show our support for the Ohio Pet Fund by putting one of their specialty plates on our new shelter vehicle! After all, we've been fortunate enough to receive funding from this program, and we know firsthand just how much of a difference it makes.

Tomorrow, we'll be hosting a Rascal Unit spay and neuter clinic, and thanks to funding we've received through the Ohio Pet Fund, we'll be able to help dogs AND cats in our community whose owners meet the financial guidelines for assistance.

And before anyone says it... YES, we like cats too. When we ordered our plate, we thought it would have a cat on it, but apparently we picked the dog version. When it's time to renew our van tags next year, we'll be getting both!

If you're looking for a little extra way to support animals in Ohio, consider choosing an Ohio Pet Fund plate the next time you renew your registration. It's a small way to make a big difference for pets and the people who love them!
