I can’t even begin to explain how proud I am of these furry loves. They’ve been working through their curriculum with ease, hitting every developmental milestone, potty training faster than any litter we have had in a long time and absolutely rocking crate training like little pros. From the very first night, they’ve slept in their crates from 11pm–7am with no crying, no whining, no fussing - All Week Long! They just settled in with their snuggle puppy and snooze comfortably until morning. And the best part? Not one single baby has pooped in their crate at night. For puppies this young, that is HUGE. The ability to hold their potty (poos) through the night is such a big developmental win.
For the first time in a long time… I slept. Like actually slept. All night. In my own bed.😄
We’re strong advocates for crate training a new puppy!
Starting at a young age, crate training offers numerous benefits. Not only does it give you peace of mind when leaving your home knowing your pup won’t get into the trash, chew your furniture, or ingest something harmful, but it also helps them feel safe and comfortable in their own space. A crate becomes their personal retreat, teaching them to relax and enjoy their environment. Plus, it’s the secret to successful potty training! Dogs naturally avoid soiling where they sleep, helping them learn to hold their potties longer, because no one wants to sleep in their own mess. 😜
If you wouldn’t let your toddler roam unsupervised around your home, why would you let your puppy?
🐸 The frogs are singing!
We use “frog sounds” as a calm cue played before naps or bedtime to help our pups wind down. It’s a way to signal “It’s time to rest.” We continue to play it throughout their nap/sleep to reinforce the routine. You can use any sound as your marker to let them know nap time is near. The keys is being consistent. So when your baby is having trouble sleeping, just ask Alexa to play “Frog Sounds”. They will be resting peacefully in no time.
Something this simple can make a huge difference in helping puppies know what to expect and feel safe doing it.
Structure and simple loving routines = confident, easy to train, happy pups.
