Terribly saddened to hear about the passing of Jim Krut, who was my absolute favorite zombie in Dawn of the Dead. I was very fortunate to have met him last year at Living Dead Weekend inside the Monroeville Mall where the film was made. He was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and was genuinely happy to be there meeting and chatting with fans. My heart goes out to his family and friends. We’ll miss you helicopter zombie.

My copy of Obsession came in yesterday and I’m so, so, so, so excited to revisit it. My gosh this movie was unnerving and extremely unsettling at times. Really well done by Curry Barker. inde fabi navarrette deserves all the awards for her performance in this. And award for most pathetic character in a movie goes to Michael Johnston’s Bear. If this doesn’t get movie of the year I’ll be EXTREMELY surprised because the hype is real and it is that good. Also shoutout to Megan Lawless’ Sarah for being the real MVP to Bear even though he was too blind to see it. Y’know until THAT scene happens. Across the board this film is extremely well shot, has an amazing score and a story that really and literally keeps you at the edge of your seat the entire time. Go grab yourself a copy today and prepare to be obsessed.

Had one of the coolest sporting related experiences yesterday. Got to visit Paycor Stadium for one of the season ticket holder events thanks to my buddy Brandon. They allow you onto the field, let you check out their locker room and workout facility. He even bought a football so we could toss and “run plays” on the field. It was a pretty surreal experience being out there and has me pumped for Bengals season. Yes, I even got a picture with Who Dey, because of course I was going to. Very appreciative of my friend for thinking of me and inviting me to go along. Pretty unforgettable experience. Cincinnati Bengals Official Paycor Stadium

Built Bar has a new flavor out and it’s a mystery in collab with the new Minions movie. I’ll give a slight hint, it’s a treat normally associated with Halloween time. And they pulled it off quite nicely. Would definitely get again. I will say, they should definitely bring this back for the fall. Found at Walmart, give it a try if you see it!

Got some new goodies to try from my homies at ! Been after this brown sugar cinnamon pop tart for a hot minute. It tastes dead on the flavor profile. So, I finally got around to watching the critically acclaimed, . I went in mostly blind knowing very little about the film other than the plot. Hearing all the positive things about it, I was expecting it to be another one of those hyped horror movies that doesn’t live up of expectations of the masses but damn was I wrong. This film was absolutely fantastic in the most terrifying way. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time once the ball got rolling. It really leaves you feeling a sense of dread throughout wondering what terrible thing is going to happen next. Extremely well shot, incredible score and the acting very convincing. If this doesn’t win some awards, I’ll be very disappointed. This was definitely one of the most unnerving films I’ve seen in a long time. Classic example of be careful what you wish for. Because things can go terribly, terribly wrong.
