For the past few weeks, we’ve been super excited to showcase some of our recent films…with plenty more on the way!
But we’ve noticed we’ve gotten several new faces following us in recent weeks, so we wanted to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves to our new followers..AND.. let you know about our much-needed website update that we just launched TODAY!
If you’ve ventured onto our website, it hadn’t changed much since we initially made our home on the interwebs in 2019. But now, you’ll see just a portion of what we’ve had the honor of capturing these past three years, and the stories of great people we’ve gotten to meet along the way.

We're the Brownings, a filmmaking couple from the Bluegrass State. We've always had a love for cameras + telling stories. We met in eastern Kentucky as television reporters + one day it hit us that being in front of the camera wasn't our true calling.
On a road trip to Nashville, we came to the decision that we wanted to tell stories full of love + passion -- leading us to eventually create Compass Films.
We're the filming duo that will show up ready to celebrate you + your person on your wedding day. We'll be there to help with ANYTHING + EVERYTHING. On wedding days, we jokingly call the photo + video teams a "Swiss Army knife" -- because we'll tackle any job necessary.
Our role is to capture your day as it unfolds naturally + help create the most memorable experience possible. While we may start this process as strangers, we'll end up as life-long friends who truly care about you. We can't wait to work with you + create a film you'll be able to cherish + experience for a lifetime.
We are currently booking Fall 2023 weddings! Our schedule is almost full for Spring 2023, but we still have several weekends open in the fall. If you are in the beginning stages of planning your wedding or are on the fence about having videographers capture your wedding day, don’t hesitate to reach out to us and we’ll tell you why it’s worth the investment!
For our films, we prefer quality over quantity, and we put as much time as needed into each of our wedding films. We only deliver a film when we both feel confident that we gave as much of ourselves as we possibly could, and made your film the best we could! With that said, we are only taking a limited number of weddings from Fall 2023 and moving forward.
We’re looking forward to sharing more of our films in the very near future! ☺️
