When Andre Amos planted his first crop last year at his community garden in Avondale, he had a vision to grow free food for the community.

To make that vision a reality, he needed help covering the costs.

He applied for a grant through the city to help fund the project. Since Amos doesn't run a nonprofit himself, he partnered with the Avondale Development Corporation (ADC) to be his fiscal sponsor for the grant.

However, Amos said nine months later, he's received just a fraction of those funds.

Supreme Court overturns TPS Status of Haitians.

For the past six years, Viles Dorsainvil has built a life in Springfield.

He has worked, studied and advocated for a Haitian community that has grown into part of the city’s identity.

Now, after a U.S. Supreme Court decision Thursday, he is facing the same uncertainty as thousands of others he has spent years helping.

Cincinnati Public may have to put a levy on the ballot due to budget cuts. Would you support it?

Cincinnati Public Schools will cut more than 100 staff positions beginning next school year after the board voted to address a nearly $58.6 million budget gap.

CPS Treasurer Michael Gustin said the district has $157.7 million remaining in its budget and must cut $58.6 million to balance it.

Board President Brandon Craig said the district is receiving 30% less state funding than in previous years.

"The reality was what we were left with in our budget for this year was really challenging things we would have to make choices on and make cuts to," Craig said.
