Faster M1 Speed - Manual LTE Band Selection

Live streaming video sends a consistent data upload stream. Carriers and ISPs notice that *can* throttle or move your device to a slower LTE Band. One reason they do this is for the greater good, enabling everyone using their service to have consistent speeds. While somewhat respectful, your live stream is most likely for a paying client, so when it doesn't go well -- that isn't Good for business.

The M1 (from my observations) loves to live on LTE Band 12. For AT&T -- B12 is one of it's slowest LTE Bands. Something like B2, B4, B14 or B66 can be much better options, however, there's no way to force select what LTE Band that your M1 uses... until now.ost observed when watching videos on YouTube, large data transfers and (obviously) live streaming.

U.S. Carriers have multiple LTE Bands available for phones, iPads and more to connect to. There different bands each have a purpose, here's a few:
- Range
- Speed
- Suppliment Offload

The M1 (from my observations) loves to live on LTE Band 12. For AT&T -- B12 is on of it's slowest LTE Bands. Something like B2, B4, B14 or B66 can be much better options, however, there's no way to force select what LTE Band that your M1 uses... until now.

Here's what you need to perform this hack:
1. Netgear M1
2. Plug the M1 into your iPad via USB. *********NOT ETHERNET.**********
3. Download a Telnet App on the iPad (iTerminal & Prompt 2 are my favorites)
4. Telnet into the M1--
- Use it's IP to access, usually 192.168.1.1
- Port number: 5510
5. Program Band 2 on seat 4:
-AT!BAND=03,"BAND 2",0,2
-Once typed EXACTLY as above, hit enter. The result should be: "Ok"
6. To program other bands, follow the setups above and shown in this video.

It’s comprised of the best-of-the-best bite-sized pro equipment available. Not every environment will allow you to have stands and lights everywhere. - The Shot: 1 subject. iPhone 11 Pro Super Wide — in 4K. - The Challenge: White Walls Hide No Secrets! Placing lights all over to fill the room won’t work. All the equipment we travel with must ALL fit in 1 Airplane Carry-On. We’re using Litra Pro’s as our key light. These babies project 1,200 lumens each. Add diffusion and charging while using (85% max brightness), and that’ll reduce their output to less than 950 lumens. Keep in mind that we’re using an iPhone camera — So we need light to keep the ISO setting as low as possible. - The Solution: Create a single source of light at the same place the subject is presenting to. Shadows are minimal — and from the camera’s view, they’re the same. Mission Accomplished. - At this location (1 of 3 setups) Chris, team lead, fell in love with this room and had to find a way to use it!
