KIOXIA's CM9-R packs 15.36TB of BiCS8 flash into this E3.S SSD, and in our lab it hit full sequential speed at a sixteenth of full load with 22.8µs latency, the lowest QD1 latency of any Gen5 drive we've tested. Around back, E1.S NVMe bays handle cache or flash volumes. Same AMD silicon, bigger lungs. The Dell Pro Precision 5 16s AMD runs the identical Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 475 and Radeon 890M as its 14-inch sibling, but the larger chassis buys the cooling headroom that turns into the best multicore Cinebench score in its comparison group. The MSI XpertStation WS300 is NVIDIA's GB300 DGX Station: the same Grace Blackwell Ultra silicon family that powers AI factories, with 748GB of coherent memory shared between CPU and GPU, in a tower that plugs in next to your monitor. The best trick on the EliteBook X G2i is the keyboard you are looking at. It is top-mounted, which means it lifts out from above in three steps with no screws, about a ten-minute swap instead of a full teardown to reach a bottom-mounted assembly. HP engraves a QR code on the bottom cover that links straight to ordering the replacement. The trackpad is its own module, swappable without disturbing the keyboard, haptic, about 23% larger this generation, with a waterfall edge that doubles as a slider for brightness and volume. Inside: dual fans up top, a 68Wh six-cell pack across the bottom, M.2 under a shield. All of it in a 2.4-pound machine that ran 17 hours 13 minutes on our battery test.
