Four Gen5 M.2 SSDs, one PCIe x16 slot, 55.6GB/s reads and 10.1 million random write IOPS. HighPoint's $399 Rocket 1604L hits 94 to 100% of the installed drives' rated performance by using an Astera Labs retimer instead of a switch, so the card adds bays without becoming the bottleneck. No new boxes from Everpure this round, and that is kind of the point. What you are looking at, FlashArray //XL and //X, FlashBlade //S and //EXA, are platforms already shipping. What changed at the event is the intelligence wrapping them.

The headline is a move to data-primacy: data that carries its own context, governance, and lifecycle independent of any single app, so AI agents read from one trusted source instead of a dozen silos.

What is actually new: Everpure Data Intelligence (formerly 1touch.io) is available now to discover, classify, and map data across on-prem, cloud, and SaaS, with a semantic knowledge graph that cuts the context window and tokens an agent burns. On the platform side, Evergreen//One Overdrive arrives in Q3 to absorb workload spikes up to 25% over baseline without a permanent capacity bump, plus Copilot natural-language operations and cyber anomaly detection that watches the whole fleet, not one array at a time.

That //EXA tucked under the NVIDIA switches is the AI-factory tie-in. Same metal, smarter data layer.

Kioxia's CD9P-R is a read-first Gen5 SSD, and our 7.68TB sample showed why: about 30 µs of 4K random read latency at QD1, close to half the comparison group, plus 14,235.9 MB/s on 128K sequential read. It scales to 61.44TB in the 2.5-inch model and 30.72TB in E3.S, all at 1 DWPD. Writes sit mid-pack on purpose; this one is built for read-heavy cloud, CDN, and AI pipelines. Up close with the HPE Juniper Networking QFX5252 from Discover 2026. This one's a switch tray built for AMD Helios, the scale-up networking module that wires up rack-scale AI systems. The whole point is feeding the GPUs: low-latency, high-bandwidth fabric to keep them from sitting idle waiting on the network. A storage array that notices ransomware on its own in four to five minutes. We worked through HPE's full cyber resilience stack built around the Alletra Storage MP B10000: block-level entropy detection validated against 100+ ransomware strains, immutable Virtual Lock snapshots that a compromised admin account can't delete, Zerto continuous replication, and StoreOnce as the backup of last resort.
