Hot Mic Cincy is back at the table as the conversation turns to trust, power, and the institutions Americans are being asked to believe in.

We'll begin with a new report alleging racial disparities in traffic and pedestrian stops by the Cincinnati Police Department and the difficult questions that emerge whenever policing, race, public safety, and public trust collide.

From there, we'll dive into Republican efforts to place voter ID requirements into the Ohio Constitution, concerns surrounding reports that the U.S. Postal Service may withhold certain election-related mail services in disputes involving voter information, and the controversy surrounding a Somali referee reportedly barred from entering the United States ahead of World Cup-related activities.

We'll also examine President Trump's comments on inflation, Marco Rubio's support for a UFC event at the White House, and the broader question underneath today's entire show:

Who do we trust with power—and what happens when that trust starts to erode?

Pull up. Grab a chair. Jump in the chat. We're always looking for more friends at the table because the best part of Hot Mic Cincy isn't just the conversation at the table. It's the people around it.

No scripts. No handlers. No protection.

Just a mic and the pressure that comes with it.

Tomorrow feels like one of those days.

We’ve got some serious people pulling up to the table, some strong personalities, and a conversation that’s likely to make people uncomfortable in all the right ways. One of the topics on deck is a new report examining racial disparities in Cincinnati police stops, and chances are there won’t be unanimous agreement in the room.

That’s alright.

Hot Mic Cincy was never built for everybody to think the same. It was built for people willing to wrestle with ideas, challenge assumptions, and still leave as friends.

Pull up. Grab a chair. Jump in the chat. We’re always looking for more friends at the table.

Tomorrow. 1:15 PM.

Hot Mic Cincy is back at the table as the conversation moves through politics, identity, technology, and the growing fight over who gets to shape public opinion.

We start in Ohio with comments from Vivek Ramaswamy about Black babies and abortion, a statement already generating strong reactions and raising bigger questions about race, politics, and who gets to define community priorities.

From there, we'll talk about plans for a UFC event at the White House, new questions surrounding Trump's anti-weaponization fund, artists canceling performances over political concerns, and an opinion piece arguing that Trump has transformed the Republican Party's relationship with Black voters.

We'll also get into Trump's latest comments about being the GOAT, before closing with a warning from the Pope about artificial intelligence and what happens when technology begins influencing human decisions in ways we don't fully understand.

Pull up. Grab a chair. Jump in the chat. We're always looking for more friends at the table because the best conversations don't happen when everyone agrees. They happen when people are willing to wrestle with the ideas together.

No scripts. No handlers. No protection. Just a mic and the pressure that comes with it.

Hot Mic Cincy is back at the table as the conversation moves through power, loyalty, politics, and the people we choose to believe.

We’re jumping into reports that Kamala Harris may be putting a team together for another run and asking whether politics really gives second chances, or whether voters simply move on. From there, we’ll get into new questions surrounding Trump, including a lawsuit deal involving the IRS, ongoing corruption concerns, and what it means when critics and supporters seem to be living in completely different realities.

We’ll also talk about a New York Giants quarterback stepping into politics by introducing Trump at an event, the Congressional Black Caucus appealing directly to the business community, and one of the more unusual stories on the board: a Trump supporter willing to fast in support of Trump, raising bigger questions about loyalty, devotion, and where politics ends and identity begins.

Closer to home, we’re bringing it back to Cincinnati with a conversation about the life expectancy gap across neighborhoods and what it says about opportunity, systems, and the city we share.

Pull up. Grab a chair. Jump in the chat. We’re always looking for more friends at the table because the best part of Hot Mic Cincy isn’t just the topics; it’s the people hanging out and wrestling with them together.

Friday's episode of Hot Mic Cincy had a different kind of energy.

We had a lot of familiar faces and a lot of brand new people join the conversation. We had laughs, strong opinions, disagreements, and people coming from all different perspectives.

That's what makes live conversation interesting.

So thank you to everybody who spent time with us and helped make the show what it was.

Whether you jumped in the comments, challenged an opinion, agreed, disagreed, or just watched quietly, you helped shape the experience.

And if this was your first time joining us, we hope you'll come back.

See you next show.

Season 3 starts with pressure.

The table opens with one of the most talked-about local stories in the city after Cincinnati police arrested a First Amendment auditor outside a bank, raising questions about public space, authority, and who really gets to watch who. And with FOP President Ken Colbert in the building, there may already be heat in the room before the first topic even starts.

From there, the conversation moves from local streets to bigger questions about surveillance, constitutional power, political identity, and what happens when technology, government, and authority keep expanding into everyday life.

Some things protect us. Some things watch us. Sometimes the difference depends on where you're standing.

No scripts. No handlers. No protection. Just a mic and the pressure that comes with it.

Some conversations show up with handshakes. Some show up with history.

Ken Kober, President of the FOP, pulls up to Hot Mic Cincy tomorrow, and there’s already pressure in the room. Questions about policing. Questions about power. Questions about an arrest that got people talking and a response that got people choosing sides.

And here’s where it gets interesting: opinions already been written. Lines already been drawn. Kevin didn’t exactly whisper his thoughts, and chances are everybody at the table won’t be seeing the same picture.

That’s when Hot Mic gets hot.

No scripts. No handlers. No protection. Just a mic and the pressure that comes with it.

Season 3 starts tomorrow, and we not easing back into anything.

Damon Lynch IV stepped into one of the toughest political fights in Ohio, challenged Greg Landsman, took his shot, and now he’s pulling up to the table.

The election may be over, but the questions ain’t. What did he see? What did he learn? What happens after the votes get counted and the cameras move on?

No scripts. No handlers. No protection.

Just a mic and the pressure that comes with it.

Hot Mic Cincy. Tomorrow. 1:15 PM.

Season 3 starts Tuesday, May 19.

The break is almost over.

We stepped away long enough to hear the noise settle. Long enough to sharpen the questions. Because every season changes the conversation, and this one feels like the city holding its breath before it says what it really means.

No scripts. No handlers. No protection. Just a mic and the pressure that comes with it.

Hot Mic Cincy returns Tuesday at 1:15 PM.

Some conversations don’t wait for a season. They show up when the moment gets too loud to ignore.

We're going live to talk local elections, the decisions being made, and the space between what’s said and what actually lands. No rundown, no script, just the kind of talk that usually happens off camera.

Pull up and bring your voice with you.
