Huge thank you to everyone this past spring and summer for coming out to shows and supporting the process as I continued to work on Arts of the Arcane: Volume II. I hope you find much comfort and emotion in this album as we travel eras past to the darker side of Serpentus cult history.

"What do you do between shows and working on the next album or Single?"

I work on music still, Music is really what i have the passon for and im willing to test all the latest industry techniques and figure out how to convert ideas into 1 person studio capabilities. I try different instruments and playing with different scripts and plugins to try to chain notes in a more natural and fluid way and in doing so i find i like adding dark twists to otherwise classical instruments except wind. for those i just create little loops for theatrics and aim for the chaotic zest that comes with growing up with a mixed blend of genres.

aside from music, I love spending time with my kids. they are there through every step and i love sharing this experience with them. Mostly im just trying to survive as my authentic self in a very turbulent world for the Transcommunity and Demographic.

Lots of gatekeeper wannabes and keyboard soldier types always bickering over their opinions but really the facts are we all live under 1 big outdated and failing system. its the age where imperfect and unlikely heros start showing up as the last genoration exits the stage. and we crave that imperfection and realness more then ever. so i'll continue to keep live performences rawer and personally special from the studio mixes so people can enjoy both sides of the talent and art.

"Is this your first live project?"

No, i've performed live as the Vocalist for a number of underground local bands and always had a lot of power and aggression that it was difficult to find a project for long that shared my same dark theatrical style and the art of blending music with live performence and crowd participation.

My Favorite was started at ~ 16-17 with my younger Brother as the bassist, my Best friend who passed away at 19 was our rhythem guitarist and helped with writing. Our friend from Ripley as the drummer Scotty who also passed away from accidental Overdose in his early 20s. RIP to my 2 fallen brothers. and a mutual naighborhood friend on lead guitar while i just wrote the parts/produced for most everyone and was the vocalist.

"Have you used MIDI can sample creation software before Serpentus?"

Oh yeah, My Drums have always been a EKit for recordings, I tried to learn drums on a Peal DoubleKick kit and did fine with my hands and beats but my right leg has always been a problem my whole life so i decided it was not the best decision moving forward. but i can still play basics.

I've used sample packs and design software with a mix of Audobe Audition and a couple EDM music Daws that where the best fit at the time. things where a lot more "figure it out and good luck" at the time and not the most simple of setups and often found myself struggling with PC performence due to the layering and processing demands. I got really into Computers young so it helped later in life as i built and designed my own Desktop specifically for high demand Processing and pushing for that next level quality.

It all seems rather simple now with so much software and available plugins with user friendly interfaces makes learning bite sized and modular so searching for tips and information is simplified. most of these things are free because of the compitition and resources available.

It still takes a lot of work and theory to understand what helps a track and what hurts the ears, even the smallest ear ache repeated can ruin an entire track even a subliminal pinging or too boosted of a frequency on one of the instruments or layers.

Vocals are still the easiest for me to work with because its just plug and record then i clean up after. not much pre setup needed other then settings and noise reduction prior with post cleanup spectrum noise removal. also now mostly automated with my own Noise killer Plugin i designed for Audacity.

(Audacity is free at its base utility, open source and highly expandable and modular DAW, I prefer recording and mastering here due to technical comfort and long history of use and familarity with knowledge base/customization with plugins while other Daws are specifically for the backing track layers and draft mix composistion)

"What are your Ambitions behind Serpentus? Long term and brutally honest."

I Plan on bringing the Fierceness of my German Haritage and my Love of individuality together to Outdoor Venues to give Metal a leading force in the Catagory of Metal Solo Artist/producers.

Look Full traditional bands are just as in and obviously amazing to see live when everything is tight and the chaos is deliberate and controlled. Theres no replacement for a Band of Humans sharing the soundwaves in synch.

This isn't anything new either, there are many Famus faces that are in a lot of ways "Solo artist/producers". Like David Townsend or Elton John. Marilyn Manson, Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth(i mean hes the only Original member if im recalling correctly, and without him the whole thing is completely different without his production and direction.)

Im tackling a very specific live performence niche and thats Solo Artist Performers who write and can perform their own material and are in a lot of ways entertainers like Comedians on a stage alone. just a different perspective without the jokes and with Music involved. but the art is still Valid.

Theres a very thrilling challenge involved with being a Solo Extreme metal artist. the amount of time spent reviewing live footage like a director running through takes. what works for the next time and what can improve the authenticity. its not about being better then anyone. it never is about that. its about bringing ideas and stories to life. some write love stories, I write stories that reach into the darkness and hope to rip you from whatever bad place your in and give your brain that fire to feel the strength we all can bring out.

Post Secret: I am working on a new single as its gonna take a while while we Prepare for AOTA:V2 to hit global streaming(To be announced) and its going to keep the blackened rawness and aggression but in full German Tongue. I'm hopeing to record the study footage where i practice the english and German versions together for learning and preperation. if people even find that stuff interesting. if noone cares ill just keep it for my own review later.

SEPTEMBER, updates;

Still currently open to additional booking with promoters and venues.

Door Split is fine, BUT garuntees of at least gas coverage are only now required for any venue greater than a 2+ hour drive.

anything Outside of cincinnati requires some sort of reputation for Safety and welcomeness of LGBTQ+ community.

Dayton, Ohio: I am currently exclusively working with Larva Promotions so in the spirit of healthy relationships I will not book a dayton show without courtesy to Larva first.

In the meantime a lot of progress has been made regarding Autoimmune research so I am focused on handling my chronic symptoms and pain. Hopefully allowing continued improvement for my ability to at least perform more often even if I am not cleared by the doctors to over exert my legs and spine for too long at this time.

Most live audiences know by now, I am a Solo Vocalist and producer. Ive been a part of several projects over the last 12-13 years as the vocalist for underground bands like Against the flames from Georgetown. A short time with Dayton metal band Epikist. Another band ~2013 as guitarist and vocalist for "Sadistic rage hammer"(reverb nation still has a single i think) and most recently(still about 2014-2015) as Solo Multi instrumentalist "Doc Stine" (Reverb Nation:Hillsboro ohio) before heading off to college and other life events.

Serpentus IS the culmination of years of different areas of music technology, studio production and classical methods and teacher taught methodology behind writing the parts and hearing the intended final mix before the parts are even finished.

I am Solo, no its not full backing tracks, every live mix is specifically revisited and adjusted for adlibbing, echos, SFX(sorry I dont really sound like a cyborg computer, thats sfx and post processing DAW magic, not me). So ofc stereo setup house systems are prefered and recommended.

A original American Writer and vocal performer, not backed by marketers and media, but still as real as it can get.

Track 10: "Cursed before Creation" A finely crafted Symphony and Blackened Vocals in this Peotic Funeral Song of ones Old self and the Beauty that is found in the Dark Transistions into a freer fuller life, as ones true self.

With a Waltzy Tempo and that emotionally felt Cresendo "Cursed Before Creation" was the most indepth in writing and layering each track of the total mix to ensure a Clear sound to feel the emotion only Humans can understand.

Break free with me today from Hopeless and Confusion of where to stand in an ever changing world. In the Pits of the Abyss No Human is less than, for we All have gods within us to Shed our Masks and Live free and Unoppressed.

Instead of Left or right we should be looking down. Deep into the Metal Abyss for strength and Community. METAL has always been against the grain and on the edge. Yes all performing artists are basically edgelords with more courage to get out there and share the energy and Support within our community. Bad apples are everywhere but Humanity can recover. All you kids should learn from us. We dont care about politics it all is a corporate game and not one we even support. But we do support human individuality and doing $hiT our way!
