I think the biggest struggle moving forward with music is new human hybrid setups challenge every norm. From gary newman in the 80s and fear factory in the 90s to countless solo EDM sampler artists/Djs in the 2000s.

Using AI plugins and software like ace studio 2 or even Logics AI plugins for landr mastering and mixing. They are tools.

Did Johhny cash perform and write the drums to his music? No he used a tool. A session drummer. No different then a drum machine. As many of you use today.

If tools invalidate the art then there is no art. There is no real. Distortion through a pedal that automatically changes the sound to what you inout as the desired output... sound familiar?

Gatekeeping and ethics are different things. Should AI slop be banned? No shove it all into its own niche. For sampling artists and loop making users/djs like myself to cut and make something useful outa it.

Ill remix other peoples AI music and add my vocals for ideas before i do my own stuff. I can adjust levels and eq plus my fx chains to mimic a quality or sound i like for a track then we get to work with the backing mixes before they get mixed down for vocal takes or if i need to leave it split up i keep 2 versions of my project files for version testing.

Heres what i found.
Most people hating even the slightest amount of AI are the ones being left behind.

Im not. Im gonna use it ethically to make my mixes tight and clean but leave the recording and production in my hands.

Tradeoff - hybrid artists will always get s**t. We got s**t for being a 1 person stage presence in the 2010s. We got s**t for voice effects, then it became cool.

The seperation between solo daw digital hybrid artists and non human AI prompt slop is 2 massively different processes. 1 is hardly a process while the hybrid is several offline software packages between mutiple save files and a messy googledrive folder for all the files and real audio recording and engineering and mixing. Takes know how. Talent. I practiced mine. Not my fault im better at it.

We are not the same. Wont sound the same. And will not be the same.

So couple Monday Updates as we wrap up December and the Final week of 2025!

First, we are finishing the last Serpentus Track that closes out the chapter with "Split the Core"
Literally written as the crossing bridge btween Serpentus and the next era for Nytheria Nyx.

There has been an insane amount of experimentation. Trial and error as well as hardware and software upgrades this past year.

We have a new Scarlette Interface arriving coming tomorrow as well as a new Shenheizer e935.

There IS NO new page Yet for Nytheria Nyx we are demoing and getting feedback first while we wait for the new recording hardware. The first demo is on youtube but will be revisited and modified with the new hardware.

You gotta really have your heart in music to survive the grind and all the ups and downs. Final single nearly completed on the last of the vocal takes before mastering.

Im going for something different in the next project and so i wanted to finish serpentus here with the strongest notes.

I am leaving several layers not as polished and ive spent a lot of time making sure the polished vs unpolished contrast in a good way and is more apperent. Its not about overall quality of the master mix for this final single, but the reality of the project. The micro adjustments and texturing and layers to give my art, my music my special touch. And my experience as a self recording artist.
