This crucifix spoke to St. Francis of Assisi in this church, “Francis, go and repair my house, which, as you see, has fallen completely into ruin.”

But Francis’ father would not allow his vocation. It comes to a showdown in front of the bishop.

This is Francis, returning from battle, dejected after a major defeat and imprisonment. He wanted to be a knight. He thought God might be asking him to be a knight. He felt lost and confused.

Our kids are learning to hear God’s voice in family prayer with us. Poor Egypt is having a really bad week!

But beneath all the chaos is a story about a God who refuses to give up on His people—and who, even in the middle of our own stubbornness and weakness, continues to call us back to Him.

Then comes the Passover: a lamb, a family gathered together, and a moment that points us all the way to Jesus.

I've been looking forward to this one for a long time! Today, we begin our journey through Exodus and meet one of the Bible's true heavyweights—Moses. But his story doesn't begin with plagues, burning bushes, or the Red Sea. It begins with a tiny baby boy in a basket and a family willing to trust God with everything.

There are so many beautiful and practical lessons here for our families. I hope you love this story as much as we do.

Happy Feast Day, St. Pier Giorgio Frassati—pray for us! 🙏⛰️

July 4th marks 101 years since this joyful young saint entered eternal life.

His life was filled with adventure, deep faith, laughter, friendship, mountain climbing, and quiet acts of charity that changed countless lives. His final days are especially moving and show what true Christian love looks like.

To celebrate his feast day, I posted the complete three-part St. Pier Giorgio Frassati story, now available on Catholic Bible & Saint Stories for Kids Podcast.
