Meet Cheryl Bailey, Executive Director and Cindy Glidden, President of the Board of Director of the Claremont Senior Center. (https://cnhcs.org/).

What a great resource the Claremont Senior Center is for the Senior Citizens in our region. They offer lunch meals on Tuesday and Thursdays (need to RSVP) as well as a ton of other activities and organized trips.

Membership is only $20 a year! Need to be at least the age of 50 to enjoy the full benefits of membership!

This episode of Along The River on Claremont Community Television Incorporated features the story of Captain Hugh Reavis Nelson, the brother of local resident Peter Nelson, who is going to be honored as the first The Citadel Graduate to receive the esteemed Medal of Honor posthumously. Captain Nelson gave his life to save others during the Vietnam War.

Special thanks to my co-host, Charlene Lovett, for joining me as Peter tells the story about his brothers heroism.
