“The Fall Classic” is my signature cocktail submission for Zero Proof Cocktail Competition. Recipe down below ⬇️
1 oz Opius Rubedo
1/2 oz Opius Nigredo
3/4 oz El Guapo Creole Bitters
3/4 oz blood orange juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1/4 oz ginger juice
Shaken & poured into chilled bucket glass
Add large ice cube
Too w/ 3 oz Ceria Grainwave 0.0 Belgium White Beer & stir
Top w/ dehydrated blood orange wheel

If you were asked to pour Autumn in a glass, what would it taste like?

As finalist of The Zero Proof Cocktail Competition, our task is to create a cocktail using our choice of selected ingredients, along with Opius Distillery spirits, that embody this season of gathering with family, celebrations & the transition to the harsher season ahead.

My final interpretation of Autumn in a glass, I have chosen to use the bitter complexity of Opius Rubedo & the beautifully rich
Opius Negredo.

So what does this season taste like to me?

A huge congratulations on 10 years of sobriety to my incredible wife, Noelle🤍💪🏽👏🏽!!!!

All of our journeys to sobriety are different. Way before me or the kids, Noelle made the a choice. She chose to love herself over the bottle. That doesn’t always mean the road gets easier. Life throws you hurdles. She stayed the course. It has shown her absolute strength that inspires me every minute of every day!

Through some of my toughest times, she has been there. She continually shows me what true strength is.
She is my best friend , partner in life & The Variant Co.& my absolute love!!

This month, I’m spotlighting Opius Distillery!
distillery , based out of Belgium has created some incredible non-alcoholic spirits that you truly must try.. There 4 spirits ( Amaro, Negredo, Albedo & Rubedo) are layered, bitter, botanical, and structured enough to build balanced zero-proof cocktails.. Their products lean heavily into texture, aromatics, and complexity, making them useful behind the bar for stirred drinks, spritzes, and spirit-forward alcohol-free cocktails.
