These dinner meetups mean a lot to us because it’s about fellowship and simply showing up for one another. Thank you to everyone who came out tonight for our October dinner, including those who had to leave early before we got the group photo.

If you missed this month, we hope to see you next month on November 19th. Just a reminder, we’re meeting on a different date than our usual second Thursday.

Also, if you haven’t signed up yet, make sure to register for our 4th Annual Pacific Island Veterans Day Dinner Gala on November 6th in Sandy.

Hello Veterans and friends,
Just a quick reminder that our monthly dinner meetup is today, Thursday, October 8th at 6 PM, at Roosters Brewing Company | UT in Layton, Utah.

Meals are self paid, but if the cost is a concern, please do not let that keep you from joining us. Just let us know and we will make sure you are taken care of. Meal coverage is reserved for veterans. Feel free to bring a partner or a friend. All are welcome.

We’re also collecting donations for the Shoebox for Veterans program. If you’d like to donate, please bring your items with you to the meetup.

Veterans, you shouldn’t have to pay to be honored. We’re just one month away from our 4th Annual Pacific Island Veterans Day Dinner Gala on Friday, November 6 at 6 PM at the Conference Center at Miller Campus in Sandy, Utah, presented by American United FCU.

All veterans, active duty, Reserves, and National Guard members are invited to bring a guest and enjoy a free dinner, ceremonies, live entertainment, dancing, and raffles.
You served. You sacrificed. You shouldn’t have to pay to be honored.

Volunteers Needed! Help us make our Trick or Treat Aloha Block Party a fun night for the community on Saturday, October 10, from 5–9 PM at Aloha Golf and Coffee Lounge in Layton.

We need help handing out candy and raffle tickets. You don’t have to stay the whole night.

We’re wrapping up the Aloha Block Party season with a Halloween Trick or Treat celebration!

Join us Saturday, October 10 from 5 to 9 PM at Aloha Golf and Coffee Lounge in Layton for a night of food, fun, and Aloha.

Bring the kids for trick or treating at every vendor booth, and stick around for raffle giveaways happening every 30 minutes with chances to win prizes throughout the night. Come hungry because we’ll have a great lineup of food trucks and food vendors serving up plenty of good food.

At 7 PM, it’s time for our Costume Competition, open to all ages. Show off your best costume and compete in four categories.

Best Island Spirit: The costume that best captures the island vibe and Pacific Island Style.

Most Creative Costume: The most original, unique, and imaginative costume.

Crowd Favorite: The costume that gets the most support and cheers from the crowd.

Best Character Costume: The best portrayal of a character from a movie, TV show, book, game, or culture.

Bring the family, invite your friends, throw on a costume, and come enjoy one more Aloha Block Party before we wrap up the year. We’ll see you there!

We’re looking for an original logo for the Island Nations Festival! The logo should reflect the connection between Utah and the cultures of the Pacific Islands.
