Rule #7 of being a pirate: Always act like you know what you’re doing. 🏴‍☠️😂

Real pirates survived storms, mutiny, bad maps, and questionable decisions mostly powered by confidence… and probably rum. Sometimes the crew didn’t need a perfect plan — they just needed a captain who looked like he had one.

History may not remember every map mistake, but it definitely remembers the bold ones. Even when the treasure map was upside down. 💀🗺️

🏴‍☠️ MYTH vs FACT ☠️
Hollywood pirates always seem to have giant metal hook hands, dramatic speeches, and absolutely zero concern for workplace safety. 😂
Reality?
Hook hands were actually pretty rare. Most pirates kept their real hands… mostly because surviving long enough to lose one was already hard enough.
And even if a pirate lost a hand, they usually improvised with simple tools instead of fancy movie-style hooks.
Turns out pirates cared more about: ✔ Treasure
✔ Navigation
✔ Survival
✔ Rum 🍻
…than looking intimidating for movie posters.
Captain Brickbane still says a hook hand would look “extremely legendary,” but the crew refuses to approve the budget. 💀
History: chaotic.
Pirates: less fashionable than Hollywood claims.
