Since its Thanksgiving week I was sitting outside this morning feeling super thankful. This has been another year in my personal journey. Although I miss my mom terribly - moving away from her was selfish I know but needed for my own mental health. I’m thankful I get to talk to her almost daily which is like a hug over the phone. I’m thankful I’m still able to hear her kind comforting voice! I’m thankful to be able to look back and see this move “saved” me from constantly being sucked into a toxic circle. I’m thankful I finally found my own peace, comfort in how I got here and perspective that I can be happy and free. It’s empowering to pick up, move and re-establish yourself on your own terms. As I get older I keep stressing the force and power of the journey - looking back it’s amazing to see the hands that lead you! How the twists and turns all have a deeper meaning that only with time the meaning becomes very clear.

Indiana storage units have arrived to FL. Last of our Indiana stuff is finally all in one place. Well across 2 houses but still only a few houses apart 🙂

If you don’t follow me on my personal page here’s an update I posted:

Job update: I’ve made it to almost 4 months!!! I still don’t have ear buds, backpack or a coffee mug or cool water bottle! I’m ok with not being in the “cool club”! But I am now an old pro on the elevator and I am definitely more aware after the bathroom gets cleaned - aka I do ensure toilet seats are down! I’ve been treated so well and even tho I was out of the corp environment for 8 years and felt a little bit as if I emerged from a time capsule walking back into it - I have embraced the learning and get excited when something comes out my mouth instinctively and it sounded really good! I’m still dusting off cobb webs in the old brain but I have moments when I really know what I’m talking about and i say it and im like omg i remember! I’ve done presentations to executives again and it was nerve racking until I got started then it was like riding an old bike! I’m like a kid in many ways and get giddy when I do something good or something works out how I planned or hoped! Each week I’m more confident and I enjoy saying I have 30 years of experience to these young know it all sales reps who like to say “I’ve been doing this for 7 years and … blah blah blah - that’s when I can stop them cold and say yep I get it I’ve been doing this for 30 years and instantly they don’t think I’m some new pushover. That’s when I like being old or should I say experienced or maybe it’s just my competitive side. Either way I’m enjoying things and people treat me so well it’s unbelievable! I never knew there was a side of corp America that treated you this way - I’m glad I found the right place (for now). I’m just waiting for it to turn into something that haunts me. Until then I enjoy walking in saying my good mornings, bringing in snacks for everyone and just being thankful!
