Mistakes Beginner Makeup Artists make that cost $$$ ❌ Not charging a travel fee ✨ This is your time, gas, mileage, tolls, parking, car maintenance, etc. ❌ Buying Unnecessary products ✨ Now is the time to focus on getting your main kit together and making that investment BACK. ❌ Not taking advantage of a pro discount - shoutout to for giving me insight on this ✨ Even without a license you can sometimes get approved for a pro discount you just have to put the effort in. It’s worth it & will save you tons of money 💸 ❌ Depotting everything when you don’t need to ✨ Save the money and time for now until you realy need to do this. Even when I’ve repotted I prefer the original packaging and end up wasting product. To each’s own but this is not necessary for a beginner kit. ❌ Not collecting a deposit ✨ Respect your time and your business by collecting a non-refundable deposit during every booking. ❌ Not tracking your expenses ✨ You’ll thank yourself later and this is so important for big girl purchases later down the line. Your CPA will thank you too 🫶🏼
