With a mix of emotions, tomorrow (Sunday, July 30th) marks the end of an era as I air my final episode of Electric and Eclectic. After a wonderful 4 1/2 years, it's time to turn the page and embark on a new adventure.

Looking back, I couldn't be more thrilled about stumbling upon this awesome little hobby while wrapping up my graduate studies in genetics at Clemson University. It's been an absolute joy curating the best underground sounds week after week. Unfortunately, the web streamer is down, but if you're in the Clemson area, I humbly invite you to tune in from 12:30pm-2:00pm for the final broadcast.

I'm broadcasting the final season of Electric & Eclectic, beginning this Sunday and continuing every Sunday throughout July from 12:30pm to 2:00pm, with the final show planned for July 30th. For two or three of these broadcasts, we'll celebrate the "best of" Electric & Eclectic.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but it's time for a new chapter. Who knows? Perhaps one day our paths will cross again on the radio airwaves. Thank you for all the love and support you've given Electric & Eclectic over the years. Let's make this final season unforgettable! 💕🎶

I'm happy to have accepted a position at the Greenwood Genetic Center. While I've already started the job, I'll soon be coming into town on weekends to do my last several broadcasts throughout July.

Join me as I cap off my 4 1/2 years at WSBF-FM with several "final goodbye" broadcasts. It's been my great pleasure to serve you with an hour and a half of the best sounds from the underground each week.

We're still ironing out the details, but I most likely will do it at the same time as before -- Sundays from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM -- possibly starting next week. I'll announce the time slot and green light in my next post as soon as I can.

Thank you for your company as listeners to the show. Most of all, thank you for continuing to support WSBF-FM Clemson, the long-standing high fidelity voice of Clemson University. Please continue to support them in the future, forever and always! ❤️

I have a very special episode of Electric & Eclectic for you this Sunday at 12:30pm-2:00pm. Featuring tracks celebrating the 2010's, we'll begin with some dark synth pop from artists like Pastel Ghost, Pearly Drops, and Labyrinth Ear. We'll briefly make a transition with some roots reggae and classic soul, and then we'll finish off with an ethereal selection of dream pop by You'll Never Get to Heaven, Night Tapes, and artists of the like.

Major updates: WSBF FM's transmitter is now fully functional. The problem with the bass has been repaired. Try it out in your car, classic FM style. Tune in to 88.1 without having to stream on the web.

Also, I'm delighted to announce that the studio is fully booked with live DJs every day except for Saturdays, usually from 9am to 1am the next day. We're grateful to everyone who has helped to bring our station back from the pandemic.

I mentioned on the show that "A.L.I.C.E.", my virtual assistant DJ, is actually a side project that I'm really working on. Here is a transcript of a real conversation I had with a prototype using the OpenAI API, a brainchild of Elon Musk among others. What this doesn't show is that "A.L.I.C.E." is actually capable of personality and sarcasm throughout conversation if the parameters are adjusted, but it gets a little dangerous for radio broadcasting...
