GEAUX TIGAHS and HAPPY THANKSGIVING ~ And just like that, we are back for the last week of award-winning, championship tailgating. Dry your eyes, because tomorrow morning, thee LSU Tigah’s© quarterback Jayden Daniels—the nation’s leader in total offense (417.4 yards per game)—will lead No. 14 LSU (8-3, 5-2 SEC) against that cadet corps cult, Texas A&M (7-4, 4-3) (sorry Beau). LSU hopes to make it six straight home wins in the series against the Aggies, so let’s do our part and bring it!
JD will make the closing argument in his case for winning the Heisman Trophy. He faces an Aggies defense ranked No. 8 nationally in total defense (286.5 yards per game), which would further enhance his Heisman candidacy if he can continue compiling the statistics he has all season. This game also is a showcase for JD’s top two passing targets—Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas—who are among the 15 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award™, which goes to the nation’s top wide receiver. Nabers needs four receptions and 144 receiving yards to become LSU’s career leader in both categories. The Aggies will be playing their second game and first SEC contest under interim head coach Elijah Robertson, who was promoted from co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach after Jimbo Fisher was fired earlier this month. Texas A&M defeated Abilene Christian 38-10 last week in its first game under Coach Robertson.
**REMINDER** We do have a few koozies left, but you will want to bring your own from home just in case**
MENU: COME HUNGRY ~ We are thankful for Black Pot SZN©, but it has sadly come to an end. Instead, everyone’s faves, Chef Boyare-GZ and Chef Rabalais, will be cooking up a menu fit for tiger kings: pulled pork, brisket, turkey, and sausage (with buns to make sandwiches), along with coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, and pasta salad (plus all the usual tailgate snacks and drinks). As always, we will have enough food and drinks for dues-paying members and their paid guests, so if you ain’t got no money, take ya broke ass home. 🍝
