Marlon Wayans recently revealed plans to reboot the Scary Movie franchise, with Scary Movie 6 set to hit theaters in 2025. This revival comes over a decade after the last installment and is exciting fans who remember the original films' hilarious parodies of horror movies. Marlon and his brother Shawn Wayans initially led the series' success with Scary Movie (2000) and Scary Movie 2 (2001) before the franchise shifted to different writers and directors in the later sequels.
Despite creative differences and financial disputes that kept the Wayans brothers away from Scary Movie after the second film, the duo has often expressed a strong connection to the franchise. With Paramount’s Miramax now involved, Scary Movie 6 aims to bring the iconic humor and unique satirical style back to the big screen, promising a fresh take on horror movie spoofs for both new and nostalgic audiences.

Actor D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai made a powerful statement on the red carpet of the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, arriving with a red handprint painted across his mouth.

This symbol, widely recognized as the MMIW red hand, represents the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) movement.
"A red hand over the mouth has become a symbol of the growing MMIW movement.
It stands for all the missing sisters whose voices are not heard women like Kaysera Stops Pretty Places, Ashley HeavyRunner Loring, and Selena Not Afraid. It also represents the silence of the media and law enforcement in the midst of this crisis. The red hand highlights the oppression and subjugation of Native women who are now rising up to say ," Woon-A-Tai explained, underscoring the urgency of the issue.

‘Dragon Ball’ creator Akira Toriyama dies at 68
Toriyama died on March 1 of a blood clot in his brain, his production company Bird Studio said in a statement on Friday. A funeral service had been held with only his family and a few relatives, it said.

The Japanese author is best known as the creator of the popular Dragon Ball manga series, which has fans across the world and spawned a well-known anime series, video games and films.

The manga series first debuted in 1984, depicting the story of a boy named Son Goku who is on a quest to collect magical dragon balls to protect Earth from alien humanoids called Saiyans.

In 1989, it was adapted into an anime and soon became one of the most globally recognized pieces of Japanese media. It has sold 260 million copies altogether, according to his studio.
