A new month means renewal. Shedding old habits to reveal a new you.

February 1st is on a Saturday, which is a day to prioritize rest and rejuvenation.

Black History Month begins today. Releasing the heaviness of recent news and embracing the generational wealth of our existence by honoring all the greats who paved the way.

We are within the 4th day of the Chinese New Year. Continue to pay anything low vibrational with dust and align yourself with high vibrational experiences and people.

Made my own batch of sorrel for the first time! I'm proud of this because my grandma used to make this drink all the time when I was a kid. Years later, I learned that it's a Jamaican Christmas drink.

Sorrel has a tremendous amount of health benefits. It's anti-inflammatory and is a good source of fiber & iron.

It's also very delicious. Like a rich, non-alcholic wine (you can add rum for a kick if you'd like).

You only need 1 cup of hibiscus leaves for this entire amount. It goes a long way. ✨️🌺

This week's mixed heritage meal is of West African origin, paired with a touch of Brazil. I went with Maafe or groundnut stew with chicken. It originated in Mali 🇲🇱, one of a few West African countries within my ancestry. This dish is satisfyingly spicy and has so much bold flavor to it. 10/10.

I chose Àgua de Côco, or coconut water, for the drink because it's popular in Brazil. I actually have Indigenous Amazonian roots and wanted to rep Brazil with tapioca pudding lol. 🇧🇷

Anywho, this meal is highly nutrient dense, as it is a great source of protein, healthy fats, and fiber. Needless to say, coconut water is very hyrdating and is an excellent source of electrolytes. The perfect drink to have in your workout routine.✨️
