They can hear a snack wrapper open from three rooms away…

but somehow cannot hear:

“COME CLEAN THIS UP!”

when you’re standing approximately six feet from them. 😭😂

There’s something special about watching the older kids become people the younger ones look up to. 🥹❤️

They may aggravate each other.

They may argue.

They may act like they don’t even LIKE each other some days. 😂

But then you’ll catch one helping another, teaching them something, protecting them, or making them laugh…

And there it is.

That’s the good stuff. ❤️

Having kids at different ages is basically living in several different worlds at the SAME time. 😭😂

One has big-kid problems.

One needs help with school.

One wants a snack.

One needs their hair done.

One needs help in the bathroom.

And somebody is upset because somebody else looked at them. 😭

Motherhood said:

Choose ALL levels. 🤣❤️

Sometimes I walk through the house after everybody has settled down and think:

“Awww… my babies.” 🥹❤️

And sometimes I walk through and think:

“How did SIX people create THIS much destruction?!” 😭😂

Both feelings can occur within approximately four minutes.

That’s motherhood. 🤣❤️

One thing I love about having kids at different ages is watching the relationships between THEM. ❤️

The teasing.

The arguing. 😭

The older ones helping the younger ones.

The younger ones thinking the older ones are the coolest people alive.

And everybody coming together when it actually matters.

Sibling relationships are their own kind of chaos and love. 🥹❤️

Something I agreed to three weeks ago and completely forgot about?! 👀

I hope when my kids think about home one day, they don’t only remember what we bought them or where we took them.

I hope they remember how much we LAUGHED. ❤️

The inside jokes.

The foolishness.

The conversations in the car.

The times we laughed until somebody couldn’t breathe. 😂

That’s the kind of childhood I want living in their memories. 🥹❤️

One kid is telling you about school.

Somebody else needs something signed.

Another is showing you something.

Somebody is yelling from another room.

And somehow you’re supposed to remember ALL of it.

Meanwhile my brain is like:

“Your storage is full.” 😭🤣
