This week's Mixing Bored will feature the music of David Thomas - Pere Ubu's frontman who change the face of non-commercial music over nearly the last 50 years. Doc will be joined by Neal Filsinger of Dare Waves (WRUW) as we have both been along for David's entire career. As most of the music world knows - David passed away this week in southern England at 71 years!

They will also tip their hat to Malcolm Ryder, local musician, artist, booking agent, etc and feature some of the last CD that he put out before his untimely death in late March. Don't miss THE MIXING BORED - WJCU 88.7 in Cleveland and www.wjcu.org/listen everywhere else in the world! The show begins at 9:30 ET tonight.

WJCU 88.7 FM has earned its first-ever first-place honor at the BEA Festival of Media Arts, thanks to outstanding social media work on by students Nikolena Samac ’27, Bobby Gerome ’25, and Aidan Houck ’25.

Plus, congrats to Zachary Sinutko ’24, ’25G, Emily Davala ’24, ’26G, and Jayden Beddingfield ’25 on their second-place finish for “808 and Mixtapes,” and WJCU Director Jasen Sokol for his Award of Excellence!
