ICYMI: Here’s what had everyone talking in Cleveland this week, in the Cleveland 13 Click Report w/ Denise Zarrella.
⛈️ First — THAT storm cluster! Northeast Ohio lit up last night, and you guys delivered with some incredible photos and videos.
🎨 Downtown Cleveland is becoming the canvas for something HUGE. Internationally known Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra is creating an 11,000-square-foot rock-and-roll mural on the 55 Public Square Garage. The project, nearly three years in the making, brings together Graffiti HeArt, Downtown Cleveland, Inc. and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
🍟 Got FRY in your last name? You might want to make plans for Cedar Point. During Happy Friar’s Fresh-Cut Fries Fest, Sept. 10–13, people with last names including Fry, Fri, Fries, Fryer, Friar, Fried and Friedman can show a valid ID and get FREE single-day admission. And yes, there will be LOTS of fries.
💙 Cleveland-based Awakening Angels is making a major commitment to Ohio families, pledging $1.25 MILLION through its Life Grant Program. The nonprofit plans to give 250 families welcoming a child with Down syndrome through birth or adoption $5,000 each to help with expenses including medical care, therapy, equipment, childcare and travel.
✈️ And get ready to LOOK UP! The Cleveland National Air Show returns to Burke Lakefront Airport this Saturday through Labor Day, with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels headlining. Cleveland 13 will be there all weekend bringing you behind-the-scenes access, pilots, fans, food and plenty of action from the lakefront.
If you’re heading down, make sure you have your tickets — and if you spot a Cleveland 13 reporter, come say hello! You might just end up sharing YOUR Air Show experience with our peeps.
