Fraternity brothers rolled up their sleeves to spread holiday cheer by surprising shoppers with gift cards at three local Dave’s Supermarket locations, helping ease the burden for families during the holiday season.
Dressed proudly in their traditional colors of Charcoal Brown and Gilded Gold, the brothers paid homage to the founders of their organization while living out its mission of service. The initiative, known as “Iota Claus: Random Acts of Kindness,” reflects the fraternity’s continued commitment to uplifting communities through selfless action.
Founded on September 19, 1963, at Morgan State College (now Morgan State University), Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated was established by twelve visionary students and has since grown into one of the nation’s largest predominantly African American social service fraternities. Guided by its five pillars—Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, Fidelity, and Brotherhood—the fraternity remains dedicated to making a positive and lasting impact. Happy Holidays!
