I had the honor of meeting Gerry Conway at a convention in Akron back in 2014z He had ordered one of my Flipfaces and used it for many years as his social media avatar. What struck me the most about Gerry was how kind he was to me and my son. He had no reason to be, as I’m a no one artist who barely had a comic title to my name. But he was warm and generous and also signed a few of my old books for me, although the Punisher book he told me later was a reprint. He signed it anyway. Once again, incredibly kind. I’ll always remember him as that wonderful and generous comic creator. I will miss him dearly. Thanks for being my friend, Gerry. Many condolences to his family and all his friends. 💔
