THE BARBERSHOP NAMED TOP 5 SPORTS TALK RADIO SHOW!
This is for every person that wakes up bright and early on Saturday morning to listen to the Barbers Shop. Together we break down and examine the real issues in sports today. Sometimes these topics can take us into uncomfortable areas like race, politics, and economics in America. My unapologetics approach to tackling these controversial topics comes with risks. People have warned me that I'd never be anything more than a weekend host. In a way they were right. I'm still only a weekend host, but the Barber Shop makes the weekends relevant. I never thought that my show would ever be mentioned with some of the best shows in Cleveland that air daily. We were just named one of the Top 5 Sports Talk Shows in Cleveland based on 1 day! It just goes to show you that learned it's not about how often you are on, it's the impact that counts.
I am only a representative. The true owners of the Barber Shop are the listeners and supporters of the show. My silent partners are the people! When I told the truth, the people wouldn't let me be canceled. When I said it in a different way, the people understood me. When I was overlooked, the people lifted me up. Some laughed when they saw my Panda logo. Some said I was crazy for walking around with a championship belt. They can marginalize me but they can't dismiss the voice of the people! I'd like to thank the people at Cleveland Scene Magazine for this tremendous accolade. I also want to send a special shoutout my fellow co-workers Mike Bormann, Anthony Lima, Ken Carman, Nick Wilson, Daryl Ruiter, for making the list as well. And a special thanks to Andy Roth for giving me a chance to host my own at 92.3 The Fan Thank you for all of your prayers and support. We did it together!
