Start voting for your interests.

The truth is simple:
Most politicians serve whoever finances their campaigns.

If Black communities don’t fund their own candidates, build their own institutions, and organize economically, our agenda will always come second to corporations, party leadership, developers, and outside donors.

That’s not conspiracy.
That’s how power works.

One thing about Deametrious… wherever we went, we were gonna laugh, have a good time, meet people, tell stories, and make memories.

This picture with comedian Sheryl Underwood was taken during one of those moments — just good energy, good people, and a reminder of the kind of spirit Deametrious carried everywhere he went. That’s why I chose this photo for the flyer. It captures the joy, humor, friendship, and larger-than-life personality so many of us will always remember.

Now we’re coming together one more time — not for a traditional funeral service, but for a true celebration of his life, legacy, friendships, and impact on our community.
